I am pleased with the outcome of our video.
In our continuity sequence we have used the shots match on action, shot reverse shot and we have used the 180 degree rule.
Match On Action
For the match on action, we filmed Ellie coming out of the toilet room and then used another shot to film her coming out of the door, this shows the flow as Ellie is filmed from one shot to the next, without breaking the continuity.
Here's the example of match on action in our continuity sequence;
Shot Reverse Shot
For the shot reverse shot we filmed Ellie and Jodie having a conversation with each other. We firstly focused the camera on Jodie while she was saying her line as though the camera was Ellie's eyes, we then repeated this shot from Jodie's point of view, looking at Ellie while she give her line.
Here's the example of the shot reverse shot in our continuity sequence;
180 Degree Rule
For the 180 degree rule, we kept the camera behind the invisible line while filming Jodie and Ellie sitting at the table.We didn't film beyond that point in this scene so the flow is kept accurate and would not look confusing to the viewer.
Here's the example of the 180 degree rule in our continuity sequence;
Good work girls you have worked well to understand shot sequences.
