7 - Filming of preliminary task

For our Media lesson today we filmed our preliminary task. We used the block 6 toilets and the modern foreign language's room. We used a range of shots including match on action, shot/reverse shot and we used the 180 degree rule.
We filmed each shot at least three times just in case one didn't go to plan.

First we filmed Ellie flushing the toilet, the camera is focused on the door so just the diegetic sound of the flush is heard.

We then panned her with a medium shot leaving the toilet and the toilet room.

After that we did a long shot of her coming out of the door, this is also a match on action shot.

Next we did a medium long shot of Ellie walking down the corridor, filming her from behind.

We then did another medium long shot as if she was walking straight into the camera, this lead to a extreme close up of her face.

We then did an extreme close up of Ellie's hand reaching for the door handle.

Then next shot was a close up of Ellie's face from the inside of the room as she opens the door.

The next shot was a shot of Jodie from Ellie's point of view, sitting down in a chair while doing some work, she then looks up at Ellie.

After that we did a medium shot of Ellie's legs walking into the room.

The next shot was a two person shot with Jodie and Ellie sitting down at the same table, using the 180 degree rule.

The final shots was a shot reverse shot as Jodie and Ellie talk to each other.

We completed the task in 90 minutes and we are now ready for the editing on the apple mac's.
